We have a number of exciting opportunities for new Neighbourhood Housing Officers (NHO) at Northwards. As an NHO, you will have the ability to help the community grow, become a better place to live and benefit from the satisfaction of making a difference.
This exciting role gives you the opportunity to really make an impact; tackling anti-social behaviour head on, supporting people to manage their tenancies and improving the look of our estates. You will achieve this by building solid relationships in the community, key partners and working closely with our tenants and their families.
As a natural problem solver, you will have the ability to manage many cases at one time whilst keeping a focus on sustaining tenancies and creating a thriving community. You will be a main contact for Northwards’ customers, signposting and giving general advice on tenancy related matters. You will be a strong team player as well as confident and productive when working alone. You must have an enquiring mind and want to make a difference.
Applicants will work closely with colleagues internally, such as the Community Safety Team, Design & Delivery Team, Caretaking Team and Resident Liaison Officers and externally with partners such as Greater Manchester Police, the City Council and various support agencies. You will need to be an excellent communicator, approachable, friendly and when required, assertive and knowledgeable.
You must have a full driving licence as access to a car is required on a daily basis.
