Digital and Webshop Intern

The role:

 

Reporting to the Communications Manager, we are seeking a highly collaborative and organised team-player with a keen interest in beauty and fashion with a good working knowledge of Social Media platforms to join the Kao Slaon Division as a Digital & Webshop Intern. In this role you will support the Marketing Team in developing, implementing and analyzing the most effective way to communicate and engage our UK professional customers across Digital and E-commerce (B2B).

The Kao Salon Division brings the Kao vision for making life beautiful and enriching lives to salon owners, stylists and their clients around the world. As each salon client is different and every stylist unique, we offer a comprehensive portfolio of products and services across our quality brands Goldwell, KMS and Oribe.

 

This is a 1-year fixed term role.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Working closely with the Communications Manager to develop the most effective proposals and conversation calendars to reach our hairdresser and our consumer via paid, earned, owned digital platforms.
  • Working closely with the CS+M’s (commercial strategy and marketing managers) to identify proposals to expand the way to develop adoption and frequency of use of our Kao Salon Partner site (B2B ecommerce platform), and any other key digital hubs.
  • Any other team support as required (digital analysis, execution and research).

 

What you will need:

 

  • Must be studying towards or have recently completed a Business, Marketing or Communications related Bachelors Degree 
  • Previous marketing experience not essential, however ability to understand marketing terminology would be an advantage
  • Microsoft Excel and Power-point skills essential
  • UK travel 1-2 times per month as required
  • Strong diplomatic and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrable written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive with a high level of initiative and a clear focus on delivering tangible results
  • Able to demonstrate an ability to work autonomously and potential to take ownership of projects
  • Passionate about beauty industry
  • Commercially minded and consumer focused
  • Confident in using Microsoft Excel, Word and Power-point
  • A Digital native with a strong understanding of Social media and (ideally but not necessary) E-commerce drivers
