We are looking for a professional and friendly part time cook to join our small catering team for 25 hours per week to prepare and serve well cooked and appetising midday meals to our residents at Moreland Court, Carlton and St Andrews House Extra Care scheme in Mapperley.
You must be a people person and enjoy providing excellent customer service, by being customer focused, listening to feedback suggesting improvements to menus. Main duties will include, preparing and cooking good quality meals using fresh produce that meets the requirements of our residents. You will support the senior cook to monitor stock and budgets and ensure that all relevant records pertinent to this role are maintained and updated. You will be expected to work inline with food safety and hygiene standards and have an understanding of health and safety in a catering environment.
This is an extremely rewarding role for the right individual, previous experience of working in a catering environment is desirable but not essential with the right experience.

The role is based over 7 days per week and hence applicants should be available to work weekends and bank holidays on a flexible rota.

Hours 25 per week – working between 9.00am –2.00pm.
All new employees serve a six month probationary period.
