About Marstons

Our story
We’ve been running pubs and brewing beer in one form or another for more than 185 years – a heritage that we’re incredibly proud of! Today we operate more than 1,400 pubs, bars and hotels across England, Wales and Scotland.

Our Purpose
Our purpose is to create pubs to be proud of, bringing people together for happy, memorable, meaningful experiences. At the very heart of everything are our friendly, passionate and empowered people who take pride in ensuring that every single guest receives the warmest of welcomes and is made to feel at home, valued and special.

Our People
Whenever we ask our people why they love working at Marston’s, the answer is usually the same – “It feels like a family and we’re proud of the company and work we do!”. This is the essence of why people want to work at Marston’s.

Our teams are real community heroes that bring people together to create happy, memorable and meaningful experiences; from local charity fundraisers, care packages for the lonely or vulnerable to serving the perfect drink and meal for every occasion – we could not be prouder of the work our Marston’s family do to create the moments that matter for our guests and the wider community.

Marston’s champions diversity and inclusion within our workforce and we care deeply about the wellbeing of our teams.

We are a Top 100 apprenticeship employer that is proud to partner with a number of industry recognised groups, programmes and schemes, such as; WIHTL – Diversity in Hospitality, Travel & Leisure, Stonewall – the leading employers' programme for ensuring all LGBTQ+ staff are free to be themselves in the workplace, and we are Disability Confident Committed Employer, as part of the Government’s Disability Confident scheme and a signatory in support of the Armed Forces Covenant.
